Time to Rest

When I started still pinning, the whole idea was that Pinterest lets you do the work once and then get on with your life. Make a good pin, and it keeps getting found for years while you are off living. No hustle, no treadmill, no burning yourself out for an algorithm.

I did not expect to need my own advice quite this literally.

I have been dealing with some health issues, and this week they got loud enough that I had to actually listen. My body has been telling me for a while that I am doing too much, and I have finally stopped arguing with it.

So I am stepping back from still pinning.

The part I love, and the part that made this easier, is that nothing here has to disappear. Everything I have written stays right where it is. The free guides stay free. And every pin I ever made keeps doing its job, getting found by the person who needs it, long after I have closed the laptop. That was always the promise, and it turns out it holds for the person who made the pins too.

Thank you for reading. For the kind notes, for letting me think out loud about a small corner of the internet I love. It has meant more than I can easily say.

Rest is not quitting. Sometimes it is just the sustainable version of carrying on.
